Law changes since the first edition was published in 2010:� MREC Agency - Residential is�a new 3 hour mandatory continuing education topic for the renewal of a residential license.� A license may be placed on inactive status for 3 years (previously 4 years).� Expired licenses may be reinstated within 3 years of expiration (previously 4 years).� These are on pages 99-100 of the print version.� The correct answers for practice exam 1, question 6 and practice exam 2, question 5 are 3 years. The maximum amount that can be recoved from the Guaranty Fund was changed from $25,000 to $50,000 (page 93 of the print version).� The correct answer for exam 1, question 3 is $50,000.

He graduated from the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage School of Real Estate in Columbia, Maryland in 2010. He has sold thousands of study guides and practice exam books in the fields of pensions, investments, finance, real estate, and massage therapy. He has also published books on card games, cooking, and military history. He volunteers to write, publish, and ship free copies of books to troops through Operation Paperback.

No inaccuracies found as others have stated

This book appears to be a complete collection of the applicable laws related to the Maryland Salesperson exam. I found the back of the book helpful, though there could have been more citations, even if the citations were not specific for every bullet point.
**Two reviewers on here misstated that claims paid by the Guaranty Fund are limited to $25,000. The book has it right at $50,000 (the minimum in the fund is $250,000.00). 17-404(b); 402 (2013). At one time claims were limited to $25,000.00, but that is no longer the case. Make sure you find the most current version of the Maryland Code.
After reviewing MD's very complex COMAR database along with Title 17 of the Code, this book appears to have what is needed to pass the exam. If I don't pass, I'll edit and update.
Lastly, those wishing to read the actual Code online might want to access it through the Westlaw resources found on the Univ. of Maryland's website, as it is more organized and easier to navigate than the state website.

Good Review but Not Always Accurate

I purchased this guide as a study aid for the state portion of the exam. It seems to be the only guide available for Kindle. That's a definite plus.
It's not fleshed out enough to stand on its own. But it's really not meant to. The guide is a good adjunct to Maryland Real Estate Practice & Law. The sample exams are comprehensive, and the information is a concise nuts-and-bolts overview of Maryland law.
Unfortunately, there are a couple of important inaccuracies,and that's why I rated it only three stars. First, the maximum award from the Guaranty Fund is $25,000, not $50,000 as the guide states. In addition, a broker must inform the Commission 10 days in advance of a change in office or escrow account location. The guide says it's 7 days.

Useful little book

I bought this book since I did not find anything else that would prepare for the Maryland State license exam. ( I want to pint out that the book covers only the Maryland exam, not the national). It is pretty small book with information repeated but it is fast and quick way to see if you are ready for the test and also has a very short review of the essential concepts. I used it in combination with the Donald White book and I passed the test at the first attempt.
