Pefect for those of us who have been out of school for a number of years
By Kiki Kiwi
I have been out of school for ten years and it feels like I have forgotten every single thing I learned in my math classes. I bought the OG Quant Review and became completely disheartened upon reviewing it. I tried the GMAT for Dummies, but I'm embarassed to say I found that a little overwhelming, too. (I feel like I need to point out my under-grad GPA was 3.8, so I'm far from being a dummy, but that is how I felt after not using math for ten years.) I then bought the Manhattan GMAT Foundations of Math and I am very pleased with it so far. The author says it's a comprehensive guide to help us remember all the things we once knew, but have since forgotten. This is EXACTLY what I needed. This book reviews the basics. It is not an in-depth study guide. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has been out of school for a number of years and feels overwhelmed at the thought of the quant section of the GMAT.

Fundamental Review of GMAT Math but only if you need it
By GMAT Club (Expert)
Foundations of GMAT Math is the second edition of the book dedicated to a review of basic math principles. If you picked a GMAT Math book and having a hard time with it, this book is for you. Prepare to see pie charts explaining factions, multiplications table, explanations of what a multiple or prime is and how to factor numbers. If you have not faced math (or were afraid to) in the past 5 years, this book is for you. Here are some important facts:

PROS:
- Very thorough
- Fixed all(?) of the previous typos
- Significantly reworked and improved the sequence of topics (now arithmetic is before word problems)
- Added Arithmetic (2nd edition only)
- Great coverage of coordinate geometry
- Helpful and valuable divisibility and exponents section
- TONS of bonus questions online (500+ of GMAT-format questions)
- Have not verified every question, but hoping for quality better than the first edition (had many mistakes)

CONS:
- The book has 500 practice questions but they are not in a GMAT format, rather a math-textbook format
- Massive! Massive (see my images I uploaded comparing it to the previous edition) 500 full-size pages - I think the expectation is that you skip parts that you know
- Some shortcuts (such as diamond method of solving quadratic equations) are confusing to those educated in formal math (but then those probably won't be using this book)
- Easy (i know it is supposed to be), but still - only easy questions

Bottom line: if you are comfortable with other MGMAT books, this book is probably not for you. If you are uneasy about math, give this book a try - you don't regret it. It is fantastic value for the 800 questions it offers. Would also recommend you pick up Number Properties and Word Translations by Manhattan GMAT. If you have purchased a full Manhattan GMAT set of books and hesitating between this book and Kaplan's version, definitely get this one - it integrates better.

For reference, here are the topics covered by the book:
1. Arithmetic (new)
2. Divisibility (very helpful!)
3. Exponents and roots - helpful as well
4. Fractions
5. Fractions, decimals, and percents
6. Equations
7. Quadratic Equations
8. Beyond equations
9. Word Problems
10. Geometry (very extensive section)

A bit too fundamental
By Mike
While it was a decent review of the basics, and it reminded me of a couple of things I forgot I had forgotten- it's quite basic (I don't think this got far beyond Jr. high/very basic high school math)

The valuable thing about this book is that it tells you specifically what the gmat likes; how the gmat likes to manipulate numbers; and a few tricks they like to use, so it's good for insight into the test, it was a bit to basic for me to be happy with the purchase.

Not for Intro: Better Research Texts Out There
By A. Moore
There are far better research texts out there. This book does a great job of presenting all the different terminology that goes along with research but what it does not do is break down the terminology so that the average student can grasp the meaning. The text offers some examples but not near enough to further help understand the various terms that go along with research. If you are not familiar with research you will struggle with this text. In addition to this text, I used the text "The Practice of Social Research" by Earl Babbie, which does a great job of breaking down the terminology. I do not think any instructor wishing to introduce research to their students should use this as an introductory text. If you insist on using this, at least, use another text that will provide easy to understand examples and explanations for the extensive research terms.

The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game, by Michael Lewis

"Lewis has such a gift for storytelling... he writes as lucidly for sports fans as for those who read him for other reasons."--Janet Maslin, New York Times

When we first meet Michael Oher is one of thirteen children by a mother addicted to crack; he does not know his real name, his father, his birthday, or how to read or write. He takes up football, and school, after a rich, white, Evangelical family plucks him from the streets. Then two great forces alter Oher: the family's love and the evolution of professional football itself into a game in which the quarterback must be protected at any cost. Our protagonist becomes the priceless package of size, speed, and agility necessary to guard the quarterback's greatest vulnerability: his blind side.

From Publishers Weekly
Starred Review. As he did so memorably for baseball in Moneyball, Lewis takes a statistical X-ray of the hidden substructure of football, outlining the invisible doings of unsung players that determine the outcome more than the showy exploits of point scorers. In his sketch of the gridiron arms race, first came the modern, meticulously choreographed passing offense, then the ferocious defensive pass rusher whose bone-crunching quarterback sacks demolished the best-laid passing game, and finally the rise of the left tackle—the offensive lineman tasked with protecting the quarterback from the pass rusher—whose presence is felt only through the game-deciding absence of said sacks. A rare creature combining 300 pounds of bulk with "the body control of a ballerina," the anonymous left tackle, Lewis notes, is now often a team's highest-paid player. Lewis fleshes this out with the colorful saga of left tackle prodigy Michael Oher. An intermittently homeless Memphis ghetto kid taken in by a rich white family and a Christian high school, Oher's preternatural size and agility soon has every college coach in the country courting him obsequiously. Combining a tour de force of sports analysis with a piquant ethnography of the South's pigskin mania, Lewis probes the fascinating question of whether football is a matter of brute force or subtle intellect. From Bookmarks Magazine
As in Moneyball (**** July/Aug 2003), which chronicled the strategies behind the Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, Berkeley-based author Michael Lewis takes a personal look at a complicated game in his newest nonfiction extravaganza. Just as they embraced Moneyball, critics eagerly wrap their arms around The Blind Side. It's much more than a treatise on football; it's an exploration of the limits of conventional thinking and how strategic changes affect the value of quick-footed behemoths. However, while most reviewers are positive, something holds them back. Maybe Lewis makes it all look too easy. Or perhaps, as The New York Times charges, he takes the easy route through a complicated set of stories. That he makes it easy for his reader to comprehend—and enjoy—is enough for most critics to give Lewis's latest a rousing cheer.

From Booklist
*Starred Review* The titular "blind side" is a right-handed NFL quarterback's left side. The defensive linemen rushing the quarterback from that side often arrive undetected and thus can inflict great damage on the opponent's key offensive player as he sets himself to pass. The key to minimizing quarterback damage is an effective offensive left tackle. Lewis, most recognizable as the author of the best-selling Moneyball (2003)--about the growing reliance on statistical analysis in baseball--describes the NFL's ever-growing obsession with left tackles as a means to counter defenders who seem to grow bigger, stronger, and more vicious each season. He juxtaposes that narrative with the unlikely story of Michael Oher, who was living on the streets of Memphis when he was 15 years old. He also happened to be six-feet-five-inches tall, weigh 350 pounds, and possess definite athletic talent. Almost through sheer serendipity, he is adopted by a wealthy family whose members make it their mission to see that he has an opportunity to benefit from his amazing physical gifts. The book works on three levels. First as a shrewd analysis of the NFL; second, as an expose of the insanity of big-time college football recruiting; and, third, as a moving portrait of the positive effect that love, family, and education can have in reversing the path of a life that was destined to be lived unhappily and, most likely, end badly. I became a Michael Lewis fan years ago when I read Liar's Poker. Fan may be too strong a word. I realized then that I enjoyed his style and so when browsing the book store, and with the movie trailers out, seeing that the book was by Lewis, i decided to give it a shot.

I was not disappointed. Lewis has a way of writing that brings something which you are not a part of into your life and make you one with it. Some of his short works i still find that I remember vividly, twenty years later and recite from on occasion.

Here we have an encouraging story of a young black boy who really has nothing in his life but his athletic ability. We have a good family that certainly does not need to exploit the boy. So they did what we all should want to do if our situations allowed, take the boy in and help. But the story is not just about that, it covers the evolution of football, these last thirty to forty years as marquee quarterbacks, or productive west-coast offense systems come into play.

In essence it is two books because of that, and it is what makes the story. I had to call my football buddy up half-way through and tell him I had a book he needed to read. Now I have to watch a game and wonder what the left tackle is doing.

This book was a very good read, and well worth the time and effort. It may not be as fun ultimately as Playing for Pizza by Grisham, but it is pretty good in its own way.

Multiple Stories, All Good
By Rick Spell
An incredible human interest story detailed further below but first.........the author of Liar's Poker and Moneyball is at it again with an offbeat interesting subject, or multiple subjects which are intertwined. This is an analysis of the evolution of the left side tackle designed to protect the quarterback's blind side, particularly from the evolution of speed rushers in the Lawrence Taylor mode. Lewis starts with an in depth analysis of Joe Theisman's famous leg break with some interesting facts even Joe didn't remember including who may really have been responsible. Separate stories are then presented of the new prototype Left Tackles like Jonathan Ogden whose investment banker father showed him that his value at Left Tackle would out way any interest in playing college basketball for his 6'9" son. This part of the book is intertwined with a historical perspective of how the passing game developed mainly through the Bill Walsh West Coast offense which downplays the significance of the quarterback. This section of the book is intertwined around the personal story to be described and while extremely interesting to football fans will have virtually NO appeal the typical female fan or other casual fans.

But what will be of greater human interest is the overlay of the story of Michael Oher, the "man/child" currently playing football at Ole Miss. Oher shows up at a predominantly white Christian school in the 9th grade with virtually no school history and horrible family background. An incredibly shy 350 pound kid struggles but ingratiates himself to faculty and staff and manages to stick around. Finally one Thanksgiving Day a volunteer assistant coach and his wife see him at a bus stop in his usual shorts and recognize that in addition to no money for food, he is traveling to the gym to watch practice just to be in a heated room. Through incredible acts of kindness and caring this young man is taken in by this wealthy Christian family who attempt to socialize and educate him for the future.

But little did they realize that at 6' 6" with an incredible frame and quick feet, football coaches would see their answer to possibly the most important position on the football field and they would relentlessly come calling. This presents many problems as Oher has virtually no chance of attending college with his past educational background. Thus begins the odyssey of the recruiting wars for this individual who by the end of high school has been called the best pro prospect even though he has played in only 15 football games.

This portion of the book dominates approximately 70% of the book. It is incredibly touching and I certainly applaud the sympathetic, caring approach by Leigh Ann and Sean Tuohy. This book is not just for football fans as the issues here are much greater. How does a child get to the 9th grade with virtually no retention of knowledge or ability to function in a social setting? What can a change in culture and caring do for this young man? And other questions will also appear such as is their potential ulterior motives for selecting this student out of so many and wasn't the final steps to eligibility really inappropriate? As to my opinion I choose to believe that the Tuohy's were interested in helping another human being, and in the process, it enriched the lives of their family, this young man and the possibilities that a loving, caring environment can create.

I strongly recommend this book for football fans, sociologists, and people with interest in politics, religion, or Southern Culture as there are many issues intertwined. Once again, the weakness to this book may be that he narrowed its focus by making it a "sports book". It's not. Its main message concerns underprivileged kids and how a change in environment can produce incredible results.

As a matter of disclosure, I live in Memphis, have leased Tuohy's his plane in the past and have many mutual friends. He and his wife have exceptional reputations and I applaud their involvement in helping this man.

Short But Effective
By RedKing
The book is quite short, you'll get through it in a couple of days (or hours even!), but to help with retention you may want to read it a few times. The brevity of the book is a help in this regard, reviewing a topic takes only a moment to find and extract the information you're looking for, even in the Kindle version. This is something I've found a bit frustrating in larger eBook study guides.
It has definitively helped me improve my number properties scores on the practice tests (Of which there are 6 included) such that I'm now consistently getting questions right of the 600 to 700 point difficulty level.
I found that I pretty much knew all the topics in the book but I hadn't understood them well enough to apply the knowledge to the GMAT questions. Going through the content gave me a different approach to the topics which has helped me better understand and internalize the concepts. These different approaches have also helped me attack the questions differently

In fact, because this book helped me get a jump on the Number Property GMAT question type, I picked up books 1, 2 and 4 to help me improve those area's also. I bought each of them on Kindle since they were such good value.
Which brings me to my next point, the online content. When you buy any single Manhattan book you get their question bank for that book and access to 6 practice tests, among a few other things. If you've also bought the GMAC Official Guides (OGs) then there's a PDF available listing which questions in the OGs fall into which category. This has not been updated for the 2016 OGs yet (July 2015) but is good for the 2015 and 13th edition OGs.
To get access to the online content you create an account on www.manhattanprep.com and email your Amazon receipt, along with your login email for the site, to their support desk ... even for Kindle purchases. Note that you only get the 6 practice tests once, for each subsequent book you only get the specific question banks and not more practice tests.

I'd happily recommend this book to those studying for the GMAT particularly those needing to improve on their Number Properties questions.

I love this book
By Forest
I love this book, the only thing stopping me from giving it more stars is that it doesn't provide enough problems. GMAT Guide is good for that but doesn't cover these topics nearly as well. Princeton Review was also fabulous for coverage and extra problems.

Warped Passages: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe's Hidden Dimensions, by Lisa Randall

The universe has many secrets. It may hide additional dimensions of space other than the familier three we recognize. There might even be another universe adjacent to ours, invisible and unattainable . . . for now.

Warped Passages is a brilliantly readable and altogether exhilarating journey that tracks the arc of discovery from early twentieth-century physics to the razor's edge of modern scientific theory. One of the world's leading theoretical physicists, Lisa Randall provides astonishing scientific possibilities that, until recently, were restricted to the realm of science fiction. Unraveling the twisted threads of the most current debates on relativity, quantum mechanics, and gravity, she explores some of the most fundamental questions posed by Nature—taking us into the warped, hidden dimensions underpinning the universe we live in, demystifying the science of the myriad worlds that may exist just beyond our own.

From Publishers Weekly
The concept of additional spatial dimensions is as far from intuitive as any idea can be. Indeed, although Harvard physicist Randall does a very nice job of explaining—often deftly through the use of creative analogies—how our universe may have many unseen dimensions, readers' heads are likely to be swimming by the end of the book. Randall works hard to make her astoundingly complex material understandable, providing a great deal of background for recent advances in string and supersymmetry theory. As coauthor of the two most important scientific papers on this topic, she's ideally suited to popularize the idea. What is absolutely clear is that physicists simply do not yet know if there are extra dimensions a fraction of a millimeter in size, dimensions of infinite size or only the dimensions we see. What's also clear is that the large hadron collider, the world's most powerful tool for studying subatomic particles, is likely to provide information permitting scientists to differentiate among these ideas soon after it begins operation in Switzerland in 2007. Randall brings much of the excitement of her field to life as she describes her quest to understand the structure of the universe. B&w illus.

From The New Yorker
Randall, a professor of physics at Harvard, offers a tour of current questions in particle physics, string theory, and cosmology, paying particular attention to the thesis that more physical dimensions exist than are usually acknowledged. Writing for a general audience, Randall is patient and kind: she encourages readers to skip around in the text, corrals mathematical equations in an appendix at the back, and starts off each chapter with an allegorical story, in a manner recalling the work of George Gamow. Although the subject itself is intractably difficult to follow, the exuberance of Randall's narration is appealing. She's honest about the limits of the known, and almost revels in the uncertainties that underlie her work—including the possibility that some day it may all be proved wrong.
Copyright 2006 The New Yorker

From Booklist
A theoretical physicist who specializes in the so-called standard model of particle physics, Randall explains the particles and forces depicted in that model, and where the model fails as a picture of the real subatomic world. (For example, it does not explain gravity's weakness compared with electromagnetism and the weak and strong nuclear forces.) Randall's renown among physicists derives from her proposed solutions to deficiencies in the standard model, which, unlike some of the outre propositions of string theory, can be experimentally tested. That she borrows from string theory the concept of "branes" will be of high interest to science readers, for if vindicated by results from particle accelerators, she will have discovered evidence that extra dimensions are real places that gravity leaks into, an achievement that would seem to be Nobel Prize territory. Randall writes as clearly as possible, but in order to follow her text, readers will need to persevere; those who attentively do can consider themselves inducted into the fifth dimension. Why I liked Lisa Randall's new book
By Lee Smolin
Lisa Randall is one of the most important and influential theoretical particle physicists working today and this book tells the story of how she came to her most important ideas. The book is full of detail and takes the reader into the minds of the author and her collaborators as they struggle towards the discovery of a new approach to the key problems in particle physics. What I really like is that she takes the time to tell the real story, and not just some oversimplified version.

She is also refreshingly honest. She explains the motivation for her work, but unlike many of our colleagues, she does not oversell. You can think of her as a reliable climbing guide. With her help you can get to the top of a mountain you could not climb yourself. But you never forget about the difficultyies and the risks that both professionals and amateurs take when we try to advance our understanding of the laws of nature.

As a theorist myself, I am aware of how far we are from solving the problems in elementary particle physics thyat Lisa Randall's work addresses. But I am sure we will get there and my optimism is due in no small part to the fact that Lisa and her colleagues are on the case.

Warped Passages- What to do with the higher dimensions of stgring theory- by Lisa Randall
By Roger B. Clough
Lisa Randall of Harvard is one of the most imaginative popularizers of modern physics, who has the mind of a brilliant physicist combined with the imagination of a poet. With Randall, these two talents are not a zero sum game, the two talents actually synergize in her writing. As an example, her book, Warped Passages, manages to tackle the elusive issue of how to deal with higher dimensions in string theory and trace its implications through the world of modern physics by the use of her imaginative concept of bulk dimensional domains. These are regions of full higher-dimensional space.

Such a concept is an alternative to the somewhat convoluted (to my mind) Kaluza-Klein solution for the higher dimensional domains of strings, in which the higher dimensions are wrapped around the
lower dimensional axes

Although not mentioned by Randall, because it seems to be unknown to the community of string theorists, another possible solution to the higher-dimensional problem is to realize that strings do not inhabit physical space, they inhabit mental or quantum space
(the timeles spaceless domain of Plato's Mind). Then the solution to the higher higher dimensional problem is to relegate strings l to the mental space of Leibniz's dual-aspect, monadic, mental-physical or quantum-physical universe. In that quantum space, which is not physical but mental, and is also timeless and spaceless, an infinite number of mental or quantum dimensions is opened up so that the regions of bulk domain can be dispensed with. For details on Leibniz's dual aspect universe, one has to consult his Monadology.

and needs to restore us to the quantum sunlight of plato (plotinus) -- see my website

A warped book
By John S. Reid
As a short review, if you are interested in the subject of particle physics and extra dimensions, don't waste your time reading this book. You would be better served by reading the excellent presentations of these topics which can be found on Wikipedia.org.

My initial thoughts on this book are well captured by the review by Mr. Joe Kern (2-star review posted on May 15, 2007. (And please see my "comment" to Mr. Kern's review.)

As indicated in my comment to Mr. Kern's review, I would like to add some additional comments regarding this book.

In the first instance, Dr. Randall cannot determine who her audience is. A writer needs to write for an intended audience, and to this end Dr. Randall is a phenomenal failure. She cannot decide if she is trying to introduce the world of particle physics and extra dimensions to the ignorant masses, or if she is trying to sell her personal view of "a warped extra dimension" to her peers, or to producers of a Science Channel program. Certainly the idea of trying to sell her "warped extra dimension" view of the world to the ignorant masses is stupid - we are so ignorant about the subject that we can't form an opinion one way or the other (and not that it would matter if we could). Perhaps she's merely trying to become a "celebrity physicist" so that she can appear on The Science Channel (and get some money and some exposure). (And to this latter end, it appears as if she has obtained some limited success.)

If Dr. Randall is trying to educate the ignorant masses, she misses the target audience by a factor of ten (or more). She presumes that her readers will include folks who are so adverse to math that they don't even know the definition of "integer" (see footnote at page 129), or the concept of "inverse proportionality". I find it hard to believe that anyone who does not know the definition of "integer" would read a book about high-energy particle physics, and dimensions beyond the four we are accustomed to. Randall should anticipate that her target readers have at least some high-school-level familiarity with basic math. Rather, Randall proceeds from the assumption that her audience is math-stupid. But she then goes on to discuss difficult concepts such as symmetry breaking. Give us a break, Dr. Randall. Anyone who can understand "symmetry breaking" should be able to understand some basic mathematical concepts. So presenting a little math in the text is not going to be a wet dishrag on sales of your book.

As for advancing her personal agenda (i.e., the "warped fifth dimension"), to date (June 2016) the Large Hadron Collider ("LHC") has not generated any data that would support her view (as presented in this 2005 book). Perhaps this is due to the limited operational time of the LHC, and the difficulty of obtaining time to conduct experiments using the LHC. At any rate, this book is now irrelevant in light of her 2012 book "Knocking on Heaven's Door", which still does not answer the question of whether or not her "warped extra dimension" theory is correct. (And what better way to promote your "rock-n-roll" hipster status than by using a Bob Dylan lyric as a title for your new book?) But wait - in the next year or so we'll see yet another book by her, and so on and so on. Randall is to celebrity physicists as George Hamilton is to celebrity actors - famous for being famous. She touts the acceptance of her grand mathematical accomplishment by the physics community at pages 435-437, but in the end all she has done is to develop some mathematical models that have yet to be proven by experimentation. Hubris is the word that comes to mind.

I would very much like to read a review of this book by a contemporary physicist who does not agree with her approach, or her views. Alas, I suspect that by now Dr. Randall has acquired the celebrity status that exempts her from critical peer review in a generally public forum (such as the Amazon book review forum). While she may be subject to criticism in the world of papers published in obtuse sources such as "Physics Letters A", she has acquired a saint-like status in the world of popular opinion. Dr. Randall is to women physicists as Hawking is to ALS-affected physicists. Think about it - what has Hawking contributed to the world of physics other than the concept of "Hawking radiation" near the event horizon of a black hole? And what has Randall contributed to the world of physics other than her unproven abstract theory of "warped extra dimensions"? While her math may be good, it is still only math - nothing has been verified by experimental observation. In my opinion Randall is just a loud voice among a chorus of thousands of other physicists. Her best ability is in promoting herself, and not in promoting proven theories of particle physics.

My intended next read on this subject is "The Road to Reality - A Complete Guide to the Physical Universe" by Roger Penrose (2004). Penrose spends the first 300 pages of his 1000 page tome in developing the math that is essential to understanding the concepts that follow. So Penrose takes a more realistic approach to the subject than does Randall. Let's face it - some subjects require a difficult technical background in order to appreciate and understand the subject matter. One cannot understand quantum mechanics in the absence of a mathematical background anymore than one can understand the actions of a pharmaceutical compound in the absence of a biochemical background. The populist "For Idiots" concept that all things can be described in lay-terms (that are accessible to everyone) is a myth. At some point one needs to have the necessary detailed background knowledge, and understanding, in order to appreciate what is going on. And Dr. Randall fails to grasp this concept in her presentation (whatever her objectives may be).

Dr. Randall is a phenomenal success at promoting herself, but an absolute failure at promoting the world of physics beyond unproven theoretical conjecture. She is no Einstein (much as she would like to be, or would like us to believe she is).

Life's Greatest Lesson Indeed!
By Toni
I read this book when it was first released several years ago and have long considered it a "how to" book when it comes to dealing with real things in real life. I bought three copies; one for myself since my original copy was absconded during a divorce (don't feel sorry for me, the divorce ended up being a good thing), and one for each of two people who I know and love who are going through some "stuff" right now. I wanted to help them see the big lessons in little things, and that in the end, as Morrie said "Love wins. Love always wins."
I cannot recommend this book more highly. For anyone, anywhere, traveling this road of life.

Monsieur Albom is likely the best writer I have read
By Roger Vann Smith
Monsieur Albom is likely the best writer I have read. This saga regarding himself being the player and Morrie his coach presents itself "life's lessons important to the concept of life including of course death." For death comes, or will come to all. Therefore, maybe, just maybe the greatest concept one gathers from life is "trust." All must turn to the proper coach which only comes from "trust." Many roads, or ways bring all to "trust," and maybe the key to "Trust" is belief built upon what else other than LOVE. Amen

highly recommend it
By CHARLES J. PARRY
Tuesdays with Morrie, written by Mitch Albom, is a wonderful book about the meaning of life and life’s most important lessons. When Mitch goes back to see his old professor, who has a limited time left due to a disease that has taken over his life, they recall life lessons from Morrie. Filled with advice for all ages, Tuesdays with Morrie is a short book that everyone should find the time to read.
Whether you’re looking for a quick read or a meaningful book, Tuesdays with Morrie is guaranteed to leave you satisfied with a new outlook on life. After hearing news of Morrie’s impending death, Mitch takes a break from being a workaholic and goes back to visit his professor. Mitch becomes a developed character after listening and comprehending Morrie’s “last class”. Morrie tells various stories and outlooks on life which leave the reader looking for more advice and insight; for example, one of my favorite quotes from the book reads “Death ends a life, not a relationship”. This is truly a book which discusses the meaning of life, the priorities of life, and the perspectives of life.
While this book can be a bit sad, as it discusses death and such, I still recommend this to those mature enough. However, do not be surprised if you become attached to the character Morrie and find yourself upset as you read about what he goes through on a daily basis with his disease. Besides that, Tuesdays with Morrie is a book that all people should read and enjoy. Find time to sit down, to enjoy, and to reflect on Morrie’s pure advice on life.
